Prof Amal-Hamden is a pediatric and adult neurosurgeon, cerebrovascular and epilepsy surgeon. She is an Associate Prof at the University of Adelaide. Professor Abou-Hamden is an Australian- trained Neurosurgeon with Postgraduate fellowship training in: Vascular neurosurgery in Toronto, Canada. She has a subspecialty in Aneurysm and minimally invasive microsurgery for intracranial aneurysms and Microsurgery for complex aneurysms. She is also the Deputy Chair of the SA branch of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and President, of the World Association of Lebanese Neurosurgeons
